Hi, I’m Sharon Ann, the owner of Sage & Eve photography and Newborn Photographer in Birmingham. I create stunning memories to hang proudly in your home.
As a Newborn Photographer with over 8 years of experience, I appreciate that leaving the house for the first time to attend a photoshoot can be overwhelming, but rest assured everything with your little one is done at baby’s pace in a soothing calm environment. My aim is that you have a lovely, calm and relaxing experience watching me work with your new baby creating stunning images for your walls.
I prefer to photograph your baby within the first 21 days, ensuring your baby still has that beautiful newborn curly look. During this stage your baby will be more sleepy and flexible, enabling me to achieve those stunning newborn images that can only be captured at this very early age.
My Newborn sessions are completely baby led and are tailored around the comfort of you and your baby. The safety and comfort of your baby is the most important thing to me. Sessions are never rushed and there is always time for a feed, change or cuddle.
Newborn sessions take place at my beautiful fully equipped cosy studio. I have a large range of props and accessories. There is no need for you to provide anything for the session apart from nappies and feeds.

How it works
Newborn photography is one of the most cherished types of photography there is. Throughout your pregnancy you’ve been growing your very own little miracle.
Your baby will never be this little or new again. This is where those special memories begin. Those adorable little features change so quickly, tiny toes, little curls, long eyelashes. With a newborn photoshoot you can capture all of those precious details and early stages of your baby’s life.
My studio is designed around your baby’s needs – a warm, calming place where you can sit back and relax.
While you relax I will work my magic creating stunning and beautiful images of your baby’s first days. Even though many new parents aren’t always feeling their best, I encourage you to be in at least one image with your baby. After all they will never be so tiny in your arms again, if you have any other children who you would like to include they are welcome to come along too.
I advise parents to book in as soon as they decide they would like to have their baby photographed. I can take bookings from your 20 week scan and onwards. When you are ready to book your session we will pencil you in for your due date and then, when baby arrives, we will arrange the date of your Newborn Photoshoot, that will take place at my cosy home studio in Birmingham. This way, if baby is early or late you don’t risk missing out!
Booking In
A £49 deposit is required in order to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your chosen digital package when you are invited back to the studio for a relaxed ordering appointment to view your images.

All Wrapped Up Mini Session
These sessions are perfect if you are on a budget, or have missed out on having the full newborn experience within the first 3 weeks.
These are a much simpler and shorter versions of a newborn session.
Using just one colour baby is all wrapped up and placed in a few different poses. No sibling or parent shots are included within this session.

Your Questions
I only take on a limited number of newborn sessions each month, in order for me to have enough be able to accommodate babies born early or late. Once booked, your due date will be put in my diary as a provisional date, once baby has arrived safely we can amend the date as needed. The recommended best time to book your session is ideally just after your 12 or 20 week scan.
However bookings are accepted at any point in your pregnancy and last minute bookings can be taken if your baby has already arrived, simply use the contact form to tell me all about your little one or your due date.
Newborn photoshoots normally take upto 4 hours. This includes feeding, settling and changing. Everything during the session is carried out at baby’s pace, nothing is ever forced the session is completely baby led. If baby is awake, we simply take awake photos and poses until little one gets tired and falls to sleep. For this reason I only book one session per day. Newborns cannot be rushed and sometimes some extra time is needed. Patience is the key to a great newborn session.
Please feed your baby 2-3 hours prior, and plan on feeding him/her as soon as you get to the studio. Also, please try as much as possible to keep your baby awake, try a bath and or a massage.
Upon booking you will be sent a preparation guide email which will explain what to bring for the session and what clothes you and any siblings should wear for the session. Everything else required for the session will be provided including all props, during your pre-consultation we will discuss which colours you would like me to use and all props used will be chosen accordingly from my collection.
Simply use the contact form below to get in touch & let me know when your baby is due, £49 secures your shoot. This £49 is then taken off of your chosen package.
You will be invited back to the studio around a week later for an ordering appointment to view your final gallery of images, we will book this during your shoot. This is when you will choose your package along with any additonal products.
