Hi, I’m Sharon Ann, the owner of Sage & Eve photography. As a Cake Smash photographer I have photographed thousands of Cake Smash photoshoots and I can honestly say that Cake-Smash Photography is a fun and unique way to document this milestone in your baby’s life. Whether your baby is quiet and shy or confident and more outgoing a cake smash is the perfect way to celebrate this special milestone in their life. A Cake Smash photography session is a great way to celebrate your baby’s 1st birthday.
Its a huge milestone, a lot has changed over baby’s first year so this celebration should be done right. From the simple portrait images at the start of the session to the messy Cake Smash itself, finishing off with a bath for baby in one of the beautiful bath tub’s complete with bubbles!
These collection of images look fabulous displayed on your walls in multi-aperture frames.
The warm & cosy photography studio in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham is designed with client comfort in mind. Refreshments are provided & singing & being silly are encouraged whilst I work safely with your little one. With 8 years of experience in cake-smash photography in West Midlands, your little one is in the safest of hands.

How it works
Cake Smash photoshoots are best done at either 11 or 12 months of age. Your Cake Smash session is a wonderful session and will include 3 types of shots.
Beautiful relaxed portraits showing your little one’s personality before we head into the main event….
The smashing of the cake! Naturally your baby is going to make a mess during the session and that is all part of the fun! Their first taste of cake, mess and mayhem. Hands, feet and even sometimes faces end up smushed into the cake to make for some very cute images. We will be singing, dancing, playing some peek-a-boo, making silly noises & no doubt being as silly as possible to capture some smiles whilst your baby smashes their cake.
Your baby will also enjoy a lovely bubble bath in one of my cute bath tubs to get all squeaky clean whilst I capture those cute splash images.
Every Cake Smash set is designed as uniquely as possible for each client according to your wishes. You do not have to decide a theme on booking, we will discuss your vision prior to your session during your consultation. You can choose any colour scheme or theme you would like, I will then create something special for your baby’s photoshoot.
Everything is provided for the session, this includes the outfits from my collection. Your cake is also included & will be supplied from a local baker. Even your towel for after baby’s bubble bath is provided. All you need to do is bring your baby and their best smiles.
Booking In
A £49 deposit is required in order to secure your booking. This will be deducted from your chosen digital package when you are invited back to the studio for a relaxed ordering appointment to view your images.

Your Questions
The best time for a cake smash& splash session is around 11-12 months.
For your baby’s Cake Smash session you are welcome to choose any colour or theme that you would like, I am enjoy creating new and beautiful setups. If you cannot think of anything, don’t worry can talk through colour and theme options prior to your session and I can help choose a stunning set. I adore creating special & bespoke setups for your baby’s as turning one is big celebration!
I will advise you in your Cake Smash prep guide via email of what you need to bring along with you to your cake smash session – things like, some of your baby’s favourite snacks and favourite toy is all that you need to bring along.
Your set up and outfit for baby are provided from my collection inline with your colour scheme, the cake is also provided via my baker in accordance to dietry requirements*
Absolutely our baker caters our cakes for all allergies for our Cake Smashes, just let me know during your pre-consulation and I can inform my baker.
If your baby has skin allergies I advise bringing along your own bubble bath for the splash portion of the session.
Simply use the contact form below to get in touch & let me know when your baby is turning one, £49 secures your shoot. This £49 is then taken off of your chosen package.
You will be invited back to the studio around a week later for an ordering appointment to view your final gallery of images, we will book this during your shoot. This is when you will choose your package along with any additonal products.
